A cancer diagnosis impacts every member of the family, especially children. Friends Are By Your Side would like to provide a respite for four families every year. Every quarter, one of the families with a mom who has received hair replacement through Friends Are By Your Side will be sent on a trip to Disney World. It is so important for families - moms included - to have some fun. It can truly assist in the recovery process and gives the whole family a sense of peace and excitement. Friends Are By Your Side is a consortium of Beauty Industry Leaders, Salon Owners and Stylists committed to donating much needed hair replacement and styling services to women undergoing treatment for cancer. Celebrity Stylist, television personality and salon owner Martino Cartier is the founder of Friends Are By Your Side. Martino was deeply touched and inspired by his dear friend's brave fight against and triumph over cancer. Through watching her cope with the process, he realized how many women needed the opportunity to feel in control of their appearance (and feel better about themselves) during treatment.
Friends Are By Your Side is a network of salon owners, stylists and beauty industry experts united in their mission to ease the stress and pain felt by women battling cancer and suffering from hair loss. Inspired by his dear friend’s brave battle and triumph over cancer, Martino Cartier founded Friends Are By Your Side. Throughout his career as a salon owner, stylist, educator and TV personality, Martino has seen the powerful positive effects and uplifting personal transformations that occur when women feel good about how they look.
